Vanilla glaze (optional; mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1-2 tbsp milk)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Apple Filling:
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the diced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples soften.
Mix the cornstarch with 1 tbsp of water to make a slurry. Add it to the apples and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice. Let the filling cool.
2. Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal squares.
