Classic French Apple Custard Cake

Preheat the oven: 180°C. Grease a 20cm round pan with butter and flour.
Prepare the apples: Wash, peel and cut the apples into small cubes.
Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat the wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the melted butter and vanilla and mix well.
Combine the mixtures: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix gently until you have a smooth dough. Finally, add the apples and mix them into the dough.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Serve: Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving.
