Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry

Lay slices of ham evenly over half of the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
Layer slices of cheese on top of the ham.
4. Fold and Seal:
Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the ham and cheese to form a large rectangle.
Press the edges together to seal and crimp with a fork for a decorative edge.
5. Egg Wash and Garnish:
Brush the top of the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds, if desired.
6. Bake:
Transfer the pastry to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
7. Slice and Serve:
Allow the pastry to cool slightly before slicing into squares, rectangles, or triangles. Serve warm.
